Hamed Wardak having a Generous Heart

Hamed Wardak

Some people can only imagine what Hamed Wardak had to endure at a very tender age. He has been blessed, though to have been given the chance to a life that is fulfilling and content. Having experienced how it is to be in need, Hamed vowed to be of assistance to whoever might need it the most. The time has come to pay it forward.

Hamed was born in Kabul, Afghanistan to Defense Minister Abdul Rahim Wardak. He spent most of his early years in Pakistan. But there came a time when he had to flee his beloved country to escape the chaos brought about by the Soviet occupation. He came to the United States as a refugee together with around six million others.   He then pursued his education graduating at the top of his class as valedictorian with a degree of Bachelor of  Science in Government and Political Theory from Georgetown University in 1997. Taking up Government and Politics as his major afforded him the chance to view and understand the complexities of government and appreciate his father’s life work better. Upon graduating from college, he was awarded the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship – 1997. Thirty-two college graduates who embody a strict adherence to integrity and an utmost commitment to improving the quality of life for others are chosen each year to receive this illustrious honor.

Hamed Wardak returned to his country to do his share in trying to ease the distress and adversity of his people during the Afghan civil war.

Hamed came back to the United States and worked for Merrill Lynch successfully handling high profile business mergers and negotiations. He gained such prominence in the field that the distinguished and esteemed construction company, Technologists, Inc., earnestly convinced him to join their team. He took the position of Managing Director of International Relations giving invaluable contributions to the company.

Hamed’s fervor for research and intellectual acuity made him competent and ready to invest in his own business. Hamed spread his wings and eventually founded his company, Ludan Athletics, a clothing brand. This venture gave him a great opportunity to extend further help to the Afghan refugees by donating a percentage of each sale to their cause.

Hamed was also a contributing author for the Huffington Post, he often wrote about how his homeland has languished and his people’s anguish.

Wanting to do more by reaching out some other way, Hamed took a route not as familiar by deviating into music. To Hamed, music is the ultimate form of communication, thus, he created and produced his unique brand of techno music under the fascinating sobriquet, Valen of Wicked. Through his music, Hamed Wardak hopes to touch the hearts of more people, let them know that they are not alone, and that better things are yet to come.
